Wa. St. Patrol ordered to return 9 oz of Marijuana

King County judge ordered the Wa. St. Patrol to return 9 oz of medical marijuana to authorized patient Scott Verner. During a traffic stop, the trooper smelled and seized Mr. Verner’s pot, he showed his MMJ paperwork to the officer. The trooper told Mr. Verner that he was allowed to use medical marijuana, but not to transport it via automobile.

Should We Legalize Marijuana to Close the Budget Deficit?

A TV ad is airing in California that pushes for legalizing and taxing marijuana to help close the $26.3 billion budget deficit. Tom Ammiano’s proposed bill would allow California to regulate and tax the sale of marijuana. If the state taxed $50-per-oz. of pot, it would gain an estimated $1.3 billion in revenues per year.
